Digital Writers' Festival: 13 — 24 February, 2014

The Digital Writers’ Festival is an online-first writers’ festival dedicated to celebrating the work of Australian writers and fostering new relationships through collaboration between writers, with a particular focus on engaging those in regional areas.

The DWF was developed to explore new ways to:

  • Engage audiences (particularly those based in regional Australia and overseas)
  • Participate with audiences (using social media tools)
  • Explore ideas surrounding how the writers and the written word are used in digital environments

The first Digital Writers’ Festival took place in February 2014, with over 90 artists and 10,000 unique visitors. (View all DWF 2014 content).

The DWF is made possible by the Emerging Writers’ Festival. The current director of the Digital Writers’ Festival is Connor Tomas O’Brien.
