Writers’ Night School: Crafting Speculative Fiction

The future sits ahead of us, and none of us know what it holds – but speculative fiction writers are doing their best to imagine it. The past sits behind us, and we think we know what it held – but speculative fiction writers want us to glimpse an alternative ‘what if?’ When you look into that great unknown, how do you even begin to envision what could be out there?

In this look into fantasy worlds, dark futures, dystopias, and other speculations, join author Marlee Jane Ward in an introduction to writing speculative fiction in an intimate online workshop. With a focus on worldbuilding, character, and narrative, this workshop is for those looking to jump into the future, or the altered past, and create convincing worlds and the characters to populate them.
