Writing for the Ear: Narrative Driven Podcasts

There is a special intimacy about podcasts: speaking directly into your listener’s ear, the rest of the world can be shut off for five minutes, or for an hour. In the first session of a two part series on podcasts, the artists behind podcasts such as All The Best, SleepTalker, and Capital Yarns, discuss how they write for an aural medium. What is different in writing to be heard, instead of writing to be read? How do you listen to the world when your job is to record it? And who do they think is listening on the other side?
